Positive thinking, is not an easy task. You have to exercise your mind often. When I’m in a bad mood, I have to look at why or what caused it. Sometimes I catch myself and say, “I have no legit reason to be in a bad mood!” I think everyone has those moments, when they just aren’t on top of their game for no real reason at all. Here is s a few things i do to take control of my day.
I go to music a lot, because I’m a musician. There is music that turns your mood around, and music that keeps you feeling down. Music tuned in 432hz rather than 440hz has noticeably helped me, ambient music specifically. It induces deeper thoughts and daydreaming. It also adds to the idea that life is a movie. So, the soundtrack of life is very important for me. Try listening to one of my favorite albums. Inspiration information by Shuggie Oits. One of the first bands I used to turn on to feel positive was Special Others.
Following cool blogs is another good route to take; like likecool, Fubiz or The San Francisco Globe. Being inspired can easily turn your mood around. Distract your mind, so that you can basically change the subject of why you were in a bad mood in the first place. Movies, pictures, music, art, phoning a friend, going outside, nature, meditation, positive affirmations, reading, and etc. If you’re at work take a sunlight break. Everyone else takes cigarette breaks, so go ahead; be free.
It is still an exercise. If you want it you have to believe. Some people do things to keep themselves in a bad mood. I’m definitely guilty of that. When I sit down at the piano I could choose to play something dark and depressing, or I could play something bright and uplifting. Dark stuff definitely has it’s place. Dark and gloomy stuff has definitely helped me before. The light shines bright through darkness. Even if you had to cancel your barbecue, a lot of other things benefited from the rain. Balance my friend, yin-yang.
Evaluate why you are in a bad move, then try some remedies. If you have time to lay in bed staring at the ceiling, then you have to look at yourself and make a difference. There are a lot of things out there that can cause us to have bad days. A lot of times you have to work twice has hard just to feel okay, then three times to feel great! You’ll realize that in all reality, it’s as easy as 123.
A lot of people need a medium or reassurance, that the force lies within. After the rain there will be a beautiful rainbow. This topic could really go on forever, because this is legit problem people face quietly and individually; everywhere in the world! You are beautiful, loved, and blessed.
